No communication infrastructure was available, the motors and connected equipment were old, the plant is widely spread and wired connectivity was very costly affair. Failures due to design are to be arrested.
OUR SOLUTION Included IoT gateway with cellular connectivity establishing a wireless link between motors from the field to the cloud for storing/fetching near real-time data. Alarms are generated at the cloud platform, these alarms are further propagated to connected clients.
REAL-TIME ALARMS AND EVENTS were enabled for the dry run of the motor, no process to run kind of situations. Having data at central location solved the norms of periodic maintenance requirements for the various equipments and also record-keep-ing forms. Different views of the same data provided for plant managers, O&M, Plant Operator, Electrical / Mechanical Technicians on desktops, mobiles and on web.
SENSEOPS DELIVERY Included sensor installation, connectivity to cloud using IoT based device. Analytics at the edge to generate alarms and warning of the system failure. A cellular network based system is not relying on corporate WiFi as it was not possible to draw cable.
